TAKE YOUR NEXT
SCHOOL EXCURSION
BACK TO THE
ICE AGE

The Glacier Garden, situated right next to the famous Lion Monument, has long been a very popular destination for school excursions. We will be pleased to assist you in organising your school excursion to Lucerne. Telephone 041 410 43 40 or info@gletschergarten.ch.

School classes and youth groups may only visit the Glacier Garden accompanied by a teacher or other group leader. A visit lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Our personnel will be happy to help with questions and requests. The Million Year Show will be shown as announced on the board; other times can be arranged with our staff. Entry to the Mirror Maze is strictly without backpacks and only under supervision of an accompanying adult. Backpacks not containing valuables can be deposited in the museum.

ACCOMPANYING material

We recommend the use of our brochures and printed guides (free). Worksheets for various school levels can be downloaded from this site. For more detailed information we recommend:  "Von der Eiszeit in die Heisszeit" by Dominik Jost and Max Maisch. Book (CHF 42.–) and CD (CHF 25.–) can be ordered and purchased at the museum.

Picnic

Picnicking is possible at the tables and benches on our summer terrace. There is no obligation to purchase food at the shop.
