Sustainability
At Gletschergarten Luzern, sustainability is more than just a buzzword - it shapes our everyday life. We take care of people, animals and plants, but also of our resources. For today and with a view to future generations.
A clear signal
The Glacier Garden bears the Swisstainable Level I - Committed sustainability label. We are thus committed to the environmentally conscious use of resources, continuous development towards sustainability and a future-oriented visitor experience.
Tandem in the museum
The "TiM - Tandem in the Museum" project brings together people from different generations and walks of life. In small tandems, they select an exhibit, invent their own story about it and share it on the Musée imaginaire Suisse platform - bringing culture to life and making it accessible to everyone.

Experiences to listen to
The Glacier Garden can also be discovered without visual impressions: Thanks to audio descriptions, which provide orientation and experience at the same time, the tour is accessible for people with visual impairments - for an accessible museum experience that excludes no one.
Regionality that you can taste
Our bistro focuses on short distances and honest ingredients: Bread from the Heini bakery, sausages from the Doggwiler butcher's and, of course, many homemade specialties such as soups and salads. What we can't make ourselves, the restaurant produces for us anyway.

A partnership with heart
For years, the Gletschergarten has worked closely with the neighboring Restaurant sowieso - an integrative business run by the Albert Koechlin Foundation, which offers people with disabilities a secure job. Many of our bistro's products are made there with a lot of love before being delivered to us with a smile.
